Why purebred? This question is rhetorical. This is why people created breeds, so that they have predictable qualities. Today we will get acquainted with the calmest, harmless and affectionate cats.
1. PERSIAN CAT
This ancient and beautiful breed of cats was created specifically as a pet doll. These cats are not as lazy as they are said to be. They are playful, but completely harmless. Flowers in vases and pots are not at all interesting to the Persians. Exotic cats - short-haired versions of Persians are just as cute and neat. The worst harm from these cats is their fur; if the owner is lazy and slobby, her pet will pollinate everything with its fluff. But regular bathing and brushing, which bring relief to your pet, will help avoid excessive hairiness in your apartment.
2. BRITISH CAT
British cats now come in both shorthair and longhair, due to the history of the breed. These cats are quite inquisitive at a young age, but by the age of one year their method is contemplation. Unlike the actively playing Persians, the British prefer to take beautiful poses. It's easy to trip over them - lying on your back in the middle of the corridor is the best observation position. They are plump and plush, which also hints at regular grooming.
3. Burmese cat
This breed is not related to the British and Persians in the foreseeable length of the pedigree, it is related to the Siamese and American Shorthair cats of the middle of the last century. However, a peaceful disposition and comfortable keeping are the hallmark of this breed. Already at the stage of formation of the breed, these characteristics were cultivated and consolidated.
I was shocked that the baby, who had learned to crawl, pulled the Burmese with him and periodically lay down on her as if on a pillow, the cat purred and was delighted with such communication, which is difficult to imagine with another breed.
4. SCOTTISH CAT
Scots come in fold-eared and erect-eared varieties, fluffy and short-haired. And, at the same time, a wide variety of colors. This breed developed under the strong influence of the Persian and British breeds. The American Shorthair also made some contribution. And even Burmese. Therefore, the 4th well-deserved place in the ranking of the sweetest cats goes to Scottish cats! These cats are cute, their appearance already speaks of their sweetness and harmlessness. And so it is. At the same time, like the Burmese, the Scottish are quite playful and quite sociable.
5. CORNISH REX
It's surprising that the long-faced, elegant breed was included in the list of affectionates and cuties. And this is a paradox. For Cornish, man is more important than game and hunting. These cats are proud of their curly, broadtail coat and are very people-oriented. Neat and easy to maintain. But, they are quite intrusive, which can tire you.
6. RAGDOLL
Rag doll cat. And that's it! The breed was created as a cross of Angora, Persian and Siamese-Balinese breeds. The ability to relax in the hands of a person to the state of a rag toy is the calling card of the breed. These are fluffy cats of elegant Siamese and Siamese with white color. The color itself is already beautiful. Which, complete with a fluffy, rich, almost Persian coat, made Rags the number 1 breed in the last century in the TIKA (feline organization) ranking.
7. Maine Coon
Beautiful, huge cats with a long body and beautiful long hair. Their calling card is ears with lynx tufts, a long, bushy tail and enormous size. These cats are adorable cuties. Their wild appearance does not at all intersect with their temperament. They are gentle and delicate. They require grooming, but compared to Persians, they are just a treat!
8. AMERICAN CURL
A rare, unknown breed. The appearance of these cats is almost unremarkable, but their EARS! They are curled back in a smooth arc and adorned with a lush explosion of hair growing from within. The breed was imported into Russia in 2000 and is available not only to connoisseurs, but also to amateurs. The price range for these cats is from 1 to 200 thousand rubles.
9. DEVON REX
Just like the Cornish, these cats are curly. But they have a different type. They are very similar to aliens, as children draw them. Huge ears, expressive eyes, strong, dense body. And the temperament is impeccable. Yes, they are a little intrusive, but if there are children and dogs in the family, they will find communication partners.
10. ORIENTAL CATS
This group of breeds has no differences in temperament - Siamese, Oriental, Balinese, their long-haired variations - all cuties! Gentle, chatty cats, harmless in the apartment. Elegant and completely opposite to Persians, but with a pleasant temperament.
